ATIUM Injury Module:

Introduction:

Welcome to the ATIUM Injury Module! This module is designed to simplify the process of reporting injuries for athletes using the ATIUM app. By following the OSTRC prescribed injury reporting guidelines, we ensure that athletes receive appropriate care and support. In this module, you will learn how to report injuries, answer relevant questions, and stay updated on the diagnosis and treatments prescribed by the medical team. Let's get started!
  1. Reporting an Injury: To report an injury using the ATIUM app, follow these steps: a. Open the app and locate the injury button, which is positioned on the top right side of the screen. b. Click on the injury button to initiate the injury reporting process.

2.    Answering Injury Questions: Once you've clicked the injury button, you will be prompted to answer a series of questions regarding your injury. These questions are important for accurate assessment and effective treatment. The questions include:

a. Training Status: Indicate your current training status by selecting one of the following options:

  • Full training and competition

  • Modified training

  • No training

b. Type of Problem: Specify the type of problem you are reporting. Choose one of the following options:

  • Acute Injury: A sudden injury resulting from a specific incident or trauma.

  • Overuse Injury: An injury that develops gradually over time due to repetitive strain.

  • Other Injury: Any injury that does not fit into the acute or overuse categories.

  • Illness: Report any illness-related issues.

c. Area of Injury: Identify the specific area of your body where the injury is located (e.g., knee, shoulder, ankle).

d. Activity that Led to Injury: Provide details about the activity or event that may have contributed to the reported injury (e.g., running, jumping, weightlifting).

e. Location of the Problem: Describe where the injury occurred, such as during training, competition, or a specific training session.

f. Injury Description: Take a moment to provide a brief description of the injury, including any relevant details about the symptoms or severity.

  1. Submitting the Injury Report: Once you have answered all the questions, review the injury report to ensure accuracy. If everything looks correct, submit the report. After submitting, a notification will be triggered to your coach and the medical professional.

  2. Tracking Diagnosis and Treatment: To stay informed about the progress of your injury diagnosis and treatment, you can access the information through your web app. The medical team will update your web app with the latest status and prescribed treatments. Check regularly to stay updated on your recovery journey.

Conclusion: The ATIUM Injury Module streamlines the process of reporting injuries, ensuring that athletes receive timely care and support. By following the OSTRC prescribed injury reporting guidelines, we aim to promote effective injury management. Remember to report your injuries accurately and keep track of the diagnosis and treatments through your web app. Wishing you a speedy recovery and continued success in your athletic endeavours!
